Learn More About Our Clinic
Upon admission into our clinic, individuals are assessed by licensed clinicians to determine the appropriate treatment program based on presenting symptoms and diagnosis. On-going assessment and outcome measures are conducted at the mid-point of the program and at discharge from our clinic to determine additional problem areas and progress made in each area. At any point during treatment, additional symptoms that present themselves are assessed and incorporated into each patient’s treatment plan.
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is one of the core treatment components of the Trauma-Exposed Professionals Program. CPT incorporates trauma-specific cognitive techniques to help individuals with trauma-related disorders more accurately appraise “stuck points” and progress toward recovery. During the course of CPT, the primary focus is to help patients gain an understanding of, and modify the meaning attributed to, their traumatic event. The skills learned through CPT are helpful to empower patients to “become their own therapist” and to learn how to engage in adaptive coping skills post-treatment.
