Premier Psychiatric Treatment Program, Serving Riverside & Corona, CA

Any type of mental health disorder can have an incredibly negative impact on a person’s life. Across the United States and around the world, millions of people are affected by these conditions every year.

Unfortunately, many of those individuals don’t seek treatment for these concerns. If you decide to pursue professional care for a mental health condition, you can significantly improve your outcome.

Pacific Grove Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient services for people who are struggling with a variety of mental health concerns.

Learn About Treatment for Mental Health Disorders

It’s common for a person who is living with a mental health disorder to feel like there are no viable answers. But at a mental health treatment center, you can begin to understand that there’s a path forward from the pain and confusion you may be facing.

By receiving personalized mental health treatment from experienced professionals, you can discover that better days are on the horizon — and that you’re extremely worthy of achieving the improved health and happiness that come with them.

At our mental health treatment place in Riverside, California, we can meet you where you are on your journey and help provide the tools to take you where you want to go. With inpatient and outpatient treatment options, we have the flexibility to work with people who have acute needs as well as those who have been through treatment but still need additional support.

The Benefits of Mental Health Disorder Treatment

When you’re living with a mental health disorder, it can be difficult to function. Routine activities like getting out of bed, making breakfast, and going to work can feel overwhelming. And it can be hard for the people in your life to understand how you feel.

By participating in mental health treatment, you can begin to understand your diagnosis and how it’s affecting you, and you can learn valuable coping skills and techniques that can help you move forward in a manner that is productive and satisfying.

During your journey, you may also have the chance to meet with others who have been through similar ups and downs. Additionally, you can work with a team of experienced mental health treatment professionals every step of the way to help you get the most out of your programming.

Admission Requirements for Mental Health Disorder Treatment

At Pacific Grove Hospital, we make all admissions decisions on a case-by-case basis. To be considered for admission to our mental health treatment facility, patients must be age 18 or older, be medically stable, and not have needs that require one-on-one care.

For admission to our most acute care, we accept patients who are living with suicidal ideation or homicidal ideation and those who are gravely disabled.

Other mental health concerns we treat include:

  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Schizophrenia

Prospective patients may walk in for an assessment or reach out to our admissions specialists anytime, 24/7. We also accept patients who are referred through emergency rooms, crisis treatment centers, residential treatment centers, and more.

Therapies Used to Treat Mental Health Disorders

People who suffer from the effects of mental health disorders have varied backgrounds and unique life experiences. Put simply, mental illness affects everyone differently.

That’s why it’s critical for you to find a mental health treatment place that emphasizes personalized care that accounts for your unique needs.

Before admission to Pacific Grove Hospital, we’ll guide you through a thorough assessment that covers any previous mental health treatment you’ve received, your medical history, and your current diagnosis. By getting to know you better, we can put together a personalized mental health treatment plan that will give you the best chance of success during your time with us.

Depending on what type and level of care you participate in, your treatment plan may include:

  • Basic medical care
  • Medication management services
  • Detoxification services if you are also being treated for a substance use disorder
  • Family therapy
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy

We will also work hard to customize our approach during treatment sessions to meet your needs. That may mean that we include elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in your programming.
