When you or your loved one is placed on a 5150 hold during a psychiatric crisis, it can be difficult to know what to do or how to handle the situation. Traditionally, an individual on a 5150 hold is placed in a county holding facility where he or she may or may not receive the high level of individualized care that is provided at a comprehensive treatment center such as Pacific Grove Hospital.
However, individuals who have been placed on a 5150 hold now have more options for care. Pacific Grove has been awarded a 5150 designation in Riverside County and we are now able to care for individuals who are under a 5150 hold. These individuals will receive the same high-quality care that is provided to each person who is entrusted into our care.
Pacific Grove Hospital can accept all individuals with a 5150 hold, regardless of referral source. If you or someone you love has been placed under a hold by a hospital, law enforcement officer, or another source, you have the right to choose where you would like to be treated, and Pacific Grove Hospital is ready to help.
